Christopher Kane collection
Christopher Kane's scary print strikes again. This time, for spring, the honor goes to Frankenstein's monster—and it wasn't just prints.
His thuggish mug lurked on several pieces, while nuts and bolts formed much of the buttons and hardware leading up to a striking duct-taped number that closed an otherwise pristine, church-ready collection. It was a little like Franken-Easter as Sunday-white and pretty pastel dresses gave way to Mary Shelley's creation—the 1931 film portrayal of him—suggesting that narratives are alive and well in fashion shows.
